Like so many things associated with India, India by Florence came about through a combination of unexpected events and a dash of fate.
Prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, Florence worked for over six years at one of the UK's most highly regarded luxury tour operators. Specialising in the Indian Subcontinent, Florence travelled to India twice a year on research trips that spanned the length and breadth of the country.
As for so many, the pandemic lead to unforeseen changes, including the ability to travel to India so regularly. Keen to maintain a connection with the country she so knew and loved, Florence decided to bring India to her, back home in Shropshire. India by Florence was born.

With a deep travel-based knowledge of the country and often located on the ground in India, Florence is perfectly placed to advise and arrange cultural and experiential tailor-made adventures. With her finger firmly on the pulse and having experienced all elements of her tours herself, she knows India’s destinations, hotels and experiences inside out.
Florence spends much of her time between Delhi and Jaipur, meeting guests on arrival, sharing her favourite places to eat and drink and showing them the best hidden gems in the Pink City's world-famous markets.
The relationships Florence has formed while working with her suppliers in India and serving her clients in the UK are what make India by Florence stand out from the crowd.

Utilising her passion for Indian textiles and her strong connections across the country, Florence started her business with a curated selection of rugs and Suzanis. The business quickly grew to offer quilts, throws, nightwear, art and accessories.
With her keen eye for detail, Florence also specialises in beautiful bespoke orders and unique creations for her client's homes. India by Florence can now help with everything from one-of-a-kind tailor-made rugs and pyjamas for hen dos and tablecloths for weddings.
